Fishing

If you love fishing...

We're a catch-and-release (CAR) venue for carp, bass & kurpers.

ONLY single BARBLESS hooks are allowed! (soft plastics)
  - NO double or treble hooks (3-hooks) allowed!

NO platannas pemitted (aka the African clawed frog) on the venue!!

You may use flies or soft plastic lures for bass fishing. Also, please use a soft net.
Children may use worms when catching kurper.

A penalty of R350 will be enforced should any fish not be handled with care as stipulated by the rules of the venue.

Take Note:
We don't have rods for hire on the venue -
please bring your own fishing gear (single barbless hooks only).

You must handle the fish with care:

  • wet your hands before touching the fish.
  • please DO NOT step on the fish at all or put your shoe or feet on the fish!
  • do not put the fish on the hot cement, jetty or the grass.
  • use your net to pick up the fish.
